Life Skills Tutor needed in Feltham with experience working with SEN students.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Life Skills Tutor to work with students in Feltham who require support with personal development and life skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and structured Life Skills lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN
- Support students in developing essential life skills such as communication, independence, and problem-solving
- Work closely with parents, schools, and other professionals to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment
- Monitor and report on student progress using individual learning plans (ILPs)
- Attend training and safeguarding workshops to maintain high standards of care and teaching
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to stakeholders
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure a positive learning experience
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in Life Skills or related areas
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list
- A university qualification or currently studying towards one, along with A-levels
- Passion for teaching and working with students with SEN
- Ability to work flexibly, including in-person and online tutoring
Preferred
- Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred teaching methods
- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Experience in developing and implementing individual learning plans (ILPs)
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies
- Experience with online tutoring platforms and tools
