The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Lower School Teacher (Key Stage 1 / EYFS) to join our team on a fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners and contribute to a supportive, high-achieving educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a mixed ability class of 20 pupils, ensuring a balance of academic rigor and engaging learning experiences.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that align with the school’s standards and promote student attainment.
- Support the pastoral and academic development of students in line with the school’s values and mission.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and stimulating learning environment.
- Participate in planning, assessment, and curriculum development.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians.
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning in all students.
- Contribute to school events and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognised teaching qualification in Primary Education, such as BA (Ed), BEd, or PGCE.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- A commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school with a strong emphasis on pastoral care and character development.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and curriculum design.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
- A passion for fostering a love of learning and personal development in young children.
