The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Lower School Teacher (Key Stage 1 / EYFS) to join our team on a fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners and contribute to a supportive, high-achieving educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a mixed ability class of 20 pupils, ensuring a balance of academic rigor and engaging learning experiences.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that align with the school’s standards and promote student attainment.
  • Support the pastoral and academic development of students in line with the school’s values and mission.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Participate in planning, assessment, and curriculum development.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians.
  • Encourage creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning in all students.
  • Contribute to school events and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification in Primary Education, such as BA (Ed), BEd, or PGCE.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school with a strong emphasis on pastoral care and character development.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and curriculum design.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • A passion for fostering a love of learning and personal development in young children.
