The Opportunity:
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, positive, and inclusive lunchtime experience for students. Your work will contribute directly to the well-being and development of pupils, making a meaningful difference in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise pupils during lunch and play, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
- Encourage healthy eating, good table manners, and positive social interactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining hall and surrounding areas.
- Support pupils who may require additional assistance or encouragement.
- Administer minor first aid and report incidents to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff to foster a caring environment.
- Model positive behavior and teamwork as a role model for students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children, ideally in a school or care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage behavior and promote positive interactions.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility to work term-time only and within the specified hours.
Preferred
- Experience in a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
- Knowledge of autism and related conditions.
- Experience with first aid or similar support roles.
- Previous experience in a school lunchtime or pastoral support role.
