The Opportunity:

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils during lunchtime across the school. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pupils during lunchtime in the dining room, playground, and throughout the academy premises.
  • Ensure the safety, behaviour, and wellbeing of students during unstructured times.
  • Support the smooth running of the lunchtime routine and promote positive social interactions.
  • Assist with the supervision of students during break and lunch periods.
  • Provide a friendly and approachable presence to pupils and staff.
  • Monitor and report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate staff members.
  • Promote the school's values and ethos through positive interaction with students.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Flexibility to work term time only and part-time hours.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or pastoral role within a school.
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
