The Opportunity:
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils during lunchtime across the school. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise pupils during lunchtime in the dining room, playground, and throughout the academy premises.
- Ensure the safety, behaviour, and wellbeing of students during unstructured times.
- Support the smooth running of the lunchtime routine and promote positive social interactions.
- Assist with the supervision of students during break and lunch periods.
- Provide a friendly and approachable presence to pupils and staff.
- Monitor and report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate staff members.
- Promote the school's values and ethos through positive interaction with students.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
- Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Flexibility to work term time only and part-time hours.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a supervisory or pastoral role within a school.
- Experience with behaviour management strategies.
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
