The Opportunity:
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring student safety and wellbeing during lunchtime across the school premises. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and growing educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in the dining room, playground, and throughout the academy premises during lunchtime.
- Ensure the safety, behaviour, and wellbeing of students at all times.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment during lunch breaks.
- Support the implementation of school policies and procedures related to student conduct.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents as needed.
- Assist in the smooth running of lunchtime activities and events.
- Monitor and report on any incidents or concerns during the lunchtime period.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the school community to maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a supervisory or pastoral role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging situations.
- Commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
- Flexibility to work during lunchtime hours and term-time only.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with young people in a school environment.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Experience with behaviour management strategies.
- Understanding of school policies and procedures.
