The Opportunity:

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring student safety and wellbeing during lunchtime across the school premises. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and growing educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in the dining room, playground, and throughout the academy premises during lunchtime.
  • Ensure the safety, behaviour, and wellbeing of students at all times.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment during lunch breaks.
  • Support the implementation of school policies and procedures related to student conduct.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents as needed.
  • Assist in the smooth running of lunchtime activities and events.
  • Monitor and report on any incidents or concerns during the lunchtime period.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the school community to maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a supervisory or pastoral role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging situations.
  • Commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
  • Flexibility to work during lunchtime hours and term-time only.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working with young people in a school environment.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies.
  • Understanding of school policies and procedures.
