The Opportunity:

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students during lunchtime. This is a part-time, temporary role that offers the chance to contribute to a positive and nurturing school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pupils in the dining room, playground, and throughout the academy premises during lunchtime.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Support the smooth running of the lunchtime routine and assist with any incidents that may arise.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents as required.
  • Follow all school policies and procedures related to student supervision and safety.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a clean and orderly environment during lunchtime.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to support the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility to work term time only and on a part-time basis.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational environment.
  • Knowledge of child development and behaviour management.
  • Experience with school policies and procedures related to student welfare and safety.
