The Opportunity:
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe and positive environment for students during lunchtime. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student wellbeing and behaviour during a critical part of the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during lunchtime in the dining room, playground, and across the school premises.
- Ensure the safety, behaviour, and wellbeing of students during the lunch period.
- Support the implementation of school policies and procedures related to student conduct and supervision.
- Assist with the smooth running of lunchtime activities and transitions.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents as required.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all students.
- Report any incidents or concerns to senior staff as necessary.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and responsibility among students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Reliable and punctual, with a willingness to work flexible hours.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a supervisory or pastoral role within a school.
- Knowledge of child behaviour management strategies.
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
