Math Specialist / Instructional Coach needed to support mathematics teaching and learning across all divisions.

The Opportunity:
As a Math Specialist / Instructional Coach, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing mathematics instruction and supporting teachers across the school. This position is ideal for someone passionate about building teacher capacity and promoting deep, concept-driven learning aligned with Common Core and IB frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers, Curriculum Coordinators, and school leadership to ensure alignment with Common Core and IB mathematics standards.
- Support instructional coherence and promote inclusive, student-centered mathematics learning across all divisions.
- Use data and student work to inform and guide instructional practices and teacher development.
- Provide coaching and professional learning opportunities to teachers in a non-evaluative, collaborative manner.
- Develop and implement strategies that foster productive struggle, creativity, and innovation in mathematics instruction.
- Promote consistency and coherence in mathematics teaching and learning across the school.
- Work with Student Support Teams to ensure all students have access to high-quality mathematics instruction.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s mathematics curriculum and pedagogical practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree with appropriate teaching certification and a Master’s Degree in an applicable area of study.
- Minimum five years of classroom teaching experience in mathematics.
- Training or certification in instructional coaching or curriculum and instruction.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics pedagogy, curriculum, and instructional best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and support adult learners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with Common Core Mathematics Standards.
- Experience with one or more IB programs (MYP and/or DP preferred).
Preferred
- Experience in an international or multilingual school environment.
- Familiarity with inquiry-based, transdisciplinary, and interdisciplinary approaches.
- Experience supporting teachers across multiple grade levels or divisions.
- Proficiency in Spanish or additional languages.
- Experience with Adaptive Schools, Cognitive Coaching, or similar collaborative protocols.
