Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Maths at KS3 and KS4, delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Design and deliver GCSE courses, ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements and assessment standards.
- Implement effective assessment strategies at KS3 to monitor and support student progress.
- Raise attainment through innovative teaching methods and a focus on student achievement.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes high aspirations, standards, and positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental goals.
- Participate in the development of school-wide initiatives that enhance student learning and outcomes.
- Support students in reaching their full potential through individualised guidance and feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4.
- Proven experience in GCSE course design, delivery, and assessment.
- Strong understanding of strategies to raise attainment and improve student outcomes.
- Commitment to promoting high standards of behaviour and academic achievement.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Background in Maths assessment at KS3.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategies to raise attainment in a classroom setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
