Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Maths at KS3 and KS4, delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Design and deliver GCSE courses, ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements and assessment standards.
  • Implement effective assessment strategies at KS3 to monitor and support student progress.
  • Raise attainment through innovative teaching methods and a focus on student achievement.
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes high aspirations, standards, and positive behaviour.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental goals.
  • Participate in the development of school-wide initiatives that enhance student learning and outcomes.
  • Support students in reaching their full potential through individualised guidance and feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4.
  • Proven experience in GCSE course design, delivery, and assessment.
  • Strong understanding of strategies to raise attainment and improve student outcomes.
  • Commitment to promoting high standards of behaviour and academic achievement.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Background in Maths assessment at KS3.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies to raise attainment in a classroom setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
