The Opportunity:
A Mathematics Teacher is sought to join a successful secondary team, delivering engaging lessons and supporting students in achieving strong academic outcomes up to and including Pearson Edexcel IGCSE. This role offers the chance to work within a collaborative and ambitious department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality Mathematics lessons across the secondary school.
- Contribute to a positive departmental ethos with a strong sense of purpose and pride.
- Support the implementation of rigorous quality-assurance processes to promote excellent teaching and learning.
- Collaborate on curriculum development, departmental planning, and resource design.
- Model outstanding classroom practice and help support colleagues’ professional growth.
- Uphold whole-school policies related to safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety, and professional conduct.
- Assist with wider school duties such as cover, cycle tests, and assemblies when required.
- Ensure students meet or exceed progress and attainment targets.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching the British National Curriculum (UK or international).
- Proven record of strong classroom practice and positive academic results.
- Strong understanding of assessment to guide planning and improve student learning.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Preferred
- Ability to teach Further Mathematics.
- Experience in subject or key stage coordination.
- Relevant leadership-focused professional development.
