The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding GCSE and A-level results through innovative teaching and personalized learning strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of an extensive enrichment programme, including Maths Challenges and Olympiads.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and promote continuous professional development.
  • Mentor and support students in their academic and personal growth, encouraging them to pursue advanced mathematical pathways.
  • Participate actively in the school's academic and co-curricular life, including extra-curricular activities and events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help students reach their full potential.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and incorporate new teaching methodologies into the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE and A-level Mathematics curricula.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Further Mathematics or mentoring students for national competitions.
  • A track record of achieving high student outcomes and academic success.
  • Experience in developing and delivering enrichment activities in Mathematics.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools and resources in Mathematics education.
