The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Mathematics Teacher to join a dynamic department and make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, preparing students for GCSE success, and potentially teaching A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and effective Mathematics lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations with a focus on achieving strong results.
  • Support and lead extra-curricular activities to enhance student engagement with Mathematics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and high-quality curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to inform teaching and support strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
  • Ability to lead and support extra-curricular activities related to Mathematics.
  • Experience working in a small school or college environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
