The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Mathematics Teacher to join a dynamic department and make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, preparing students for GCSE success, and potentially teaching A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and effective Mathematics lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations with a focus on achieving strong results.
- Support and lead extra-curricular activities to enhance student engagement with Mathematics.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and high-quality curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress to inform teaching and support strategies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
- Ability to lead and support extra-curricular activities related to Mathematics.
- Experience working in a small school or college environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
