The Opportunity:

As a Mathematics Teacher, you will play a key role in helping students develop confidence and competence in Mathematics. You will support learners through targeted interventions, small-group sessions, and one-to-one tutoring, all within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective Mathematics intervention to identified students or groups of students.
  • Design and implement individual learning plans with measurable outcome criteria.
  • Provide high-quality learning that unlocks barriers to progress and raises achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Mathematics and Maths team to support students across a range of abilities and year groups.
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure consistent support.
  • Manage and rearrange tuition sessions as needed to ensure student engagement.
  • Contribute positively to the wider school and support a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or on track to achieve it.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in delivering Mathematics support to students of varying abilities.
  • Commitment to raising attainment and closing learning gaps.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Preferred

  • Experience with small-group or one-to-one tutoring.
  • Background in developing individual learning plans.
  • Experience in a school setting with a focus on student support and intervention.
