The Opportunity:
We are seeking a qualified and inspiring Mathematics Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis starting in November 2026. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal development while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics to students at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level in line with national curriculum guidelines
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all pupils, including those with additional learning needs
- Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic enthusiasm and achievement
- Support the leadership of the Mathematics department and contribute to the development of the subject
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular reports to parents and carers
- Participate in assessments, grading, and examinations as directed by the Subject Leader
- Engage in professional development and collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Honours degree in Mathematics or a related subject such as engineering
- PGCE or equivalent qualification in Secondary Mathematics Teaching
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at GCSE and A Level
Preferred
- Experience in managing a classroom and delivering high-quality lessons
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience with pastoral, sporting, or extracurricular responsibilities
