The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Mathematics and Computing to students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
  • Support the school’s inclusive ethos by fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics and Computing education.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and events that enhance student engagement and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and appropriate teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching Mathematics and Computing at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of Mathematics and Computing curricula and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering computing courses, including programming and digital skills.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with using technology in the classroom to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Experience in a school with a strong track record of academic success.
