Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students from Year 7 to Year 13
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and learning
  • Support the school’s mission to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve departmental standards and student outcomes
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive learning community
  • Participate in the school’s Professional Development Programme and contribute to staff training
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a disruption-free learning environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or coordinating role within a Maths department
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies
