The Opportunity:

As a Maths Curriculum Leader, you will lead and influence the maths curriculum across multiple academies, driving improvement in teaching, learning, and student outcomes. This role offers the chance to shape maths education at scale and make a meaningful impact on student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model leadership and promote pedagogical strategies across maths departments.
  • Drive improvements in teaching quality through mentoring and coaching.
  • Develop and interpret data to inform targeted interventions and support school improvement.
  • Support self-evaluation and quality assurance processes across all academies.
  • Lead professional development initiatives and foster a community of maths teachers.
  • Collaborate with other subject leaders to shape the wider secondary curriculum.
  • Ensure compliance with OFSTED requirements and evidence-informed practice.
  • Act as a visible ambassador for the Trust, supporting recruitment and retention in maths.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in maths leadership and curriculum development.
  • Strong subject knowledge and pedagogical expertise in maths education.
  • Experience in driving measurable improvements in teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Ability to lead and mentor maths departments across multiple schools.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and its application in school improvement.
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and OFSTED standards.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Leadership in curriculum strategy or development planning.
  • Experience in facilitating professional development for teachers and leaders.
  • Background in maths education research or current practice.
  • Involvement in school improvement initiatives or strategic planning.
