The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team as a Maths Teacher and STEM Leader, shaping the future of education through innovative teaching and leadership in STEM. This role combines classroom teaching with the opportunity to lead and inspire across the school’s STEM curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 in Maths
  • Plan, assess and track progress in line with curriculum and school policies
  • Support academic achievement and personal development of students
  • Provide pastoral care as a form tutor
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Engage with parents and external agencies when necessary
  • Deliver extra-curricular opportunities aligned with your skills and interests
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all students
  • Lead and develop the school’s STEM strategy and curriculum (optional TLR2a role)

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to student success and personal development
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or supporting STEM initiatives
  • M3 or higher teaching qualification
  • Enthusiasm for driving forward curriculum innovation and enrichment
  • Experience in pastoral care or form tutoring
