The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher Graduate, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of young people through innovative mathematics education. This role offers a unique two-year pathway into teaching, supported by the Maths Excellence Fund, and provides the opportunity to progress into a salaried teacher training programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support high-attaining pupils through academic interventions, enrichment activities, and maths masterclasses.
  • Deliver targeted maths support in small groups, gradually expanding to whole-class instruction.
  • Collaborate with experienced staff to develop effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Engage with students in a coaching group, building strong relationships and supporting their personal development.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering resilience, relationships, and co-operative values.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and equity within the classroom and wider school community.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A graduate degree in mathematics or a related field.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Commitment to the co-operative values of equality, equity, self-help, and self-responsibility.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or working with young people.
  • Previous involvement in academic or extracurricular support programmes.
  • Familiarity with maths education and curriculum development.
  • Experience with coaching or mentoring students.
