The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Maths Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons for Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils. The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth in a dynamic boarding school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons to Key Stage 2 and 3 students.
- Support the Head of Department with curriculum planning, assessment, and leadership.
- Assist with end-of-day activities, including Prep, and supervise during breaks and lunchtimes.
- Take responsibility for teaching and training in boys/girls games during midweek and weekend fixtures.
- Contribute to the pastoral care of students, including possible Form Taker duties.
- Maintain high standards of teaching, assessment, and record-keeping in line with school policies.
- Support students in preparing for Common Entrance and Scholarship exams.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and Learning Support staff to ensure student success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Degree in a relevant subject.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- Proven experience in differentiated Maths teaching.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage pressure.
- Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values.
- Strong computer skills for administration and curriculum delivery.
Preferred
- Experience with Common Entrance and Scholarship exam requirements.
- Involvement in sport or extra-curricular activities.
- Experience in a boarding school environment.
