Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that challenge and inspire students.

  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement and support individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s ongoing development.
  • Build positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Stay up to date with developments in pedagogy and educational research to enhance teaching practice.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school’s vision and mission.
  • Support extracurricular activities and student engagement opportunities where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience in teaching at the relevant level (Key Stage 3 or 4).
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Experience with data analysis and assessment strategies.
  • Experience in working with diverse student groups and supporting inclusion.
  • Leadership potential and a track record of driving improvement in student outcomes.
