Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare engaging and effective maths lesson plans tailored to the needs of different grade levels.
  • Deliver clear and accessible explanations of mathematical concepts to students.
  • Foster a genuine interest in mathematics through creative and interactive teaching methods.
  • Develop and produce high-quality teaching resources and materials.
  • Assign and assess projects and assignments to support student learning and progress.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Provide regular feedback on student performance and progress in mathematics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching maths at the appropriate level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum design and development.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and its implementation.
  • Experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into teaching practice.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student welfare.
