The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a high-performing department known for its strong academic results and commitment to continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, evidence-informed team while supporting students in achieving outstanding outcomes in Maths at both GCSE and A Level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school CPD initiatives to maintain and enhance teaching practice.
  • Support students in developing independent learning skills and a positive attitude towards Maths.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care of students, ensuring their well-being and engagement in learning.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote student achievement and progression.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Experience in delivering A Level Maths and Further Maths.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-informed teaching.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take on leadership responsibilities when required.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Experience with data analysis and using assessment outcomes to inform teaching.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support.
