The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a successful department and support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5. The role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on student achievement and contribute to a dynamic, forward-thinking school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and policies.
  • Create engaging and challenging learning experiences that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Manage the classroom effectively, maintaining a safe and disciplined learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform future teaching and support individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide policies and procedures.
  • Support the personal, social, and cultural development of students through meaningful learning opportunities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed of student progress.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Maths education.
  • Familiarity with the Teachers’ Standards and School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
  • Ability to plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Experience in supporting students with special educational needs.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Background in curriculum development or leadership within a Maths department.
  • Experience with whole-school policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and parents.
