The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a successful department and support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5. The role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on student achievement and contribute to a dynamic, forward-thinking school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and policies.
- Create engaging and challenging learning experiences that promote student progress and achievement.
- Manage the classroom effectively, maintaining a safe and disciplined learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform future teaching and support individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide policies and procedures.
- Support the personal, social, and cultural development of students through meaningful learning opportunities.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed of student progress.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Maths education.
- Familiarity with the Teachers’ Standards and School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
- Ability to plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
Preferred
- Experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Background in curriculum development or leadership within a Maths department.
- Experience with whole-school policies and procedures.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and parents.
