Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students across all key stages.
- Ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on student progress and achievement.
- Support the development of students, including those from disadvantaged and vulnerable backgrounds.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and continuously improve teaching methods.
- Participate in whole-school professional development and contribute to the school’s improvement journey.
- Work within a supportive and flexible working environment that prioritises staff well-being.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student progress and attainment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
- Experience in teaching mathematics at key stages 3 and 4.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and improving teaching practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching mathematics to a range of abilities and backgrounds.
- Experience with the use of technology in the classroom.
- Experience in leading or supporting professional development for colleagues.
- Experience in working within a school that has undergone significant improvement.
