Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on student progress and achievement.
  • Support the development of students, including those from disadvantaged and vulnerable backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and continuously improve teaching methods.
  • Participate in whole-school professional development and contribute to the school’s improvement journey.
  • Work within a supportive and flexible working environment that prioritises staff well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress and attainment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience in teaching mathematics at key stages 3 and 4.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and improving teaching practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching mathematics to a range of abilities and backgrounds.
  • Experience with the use of technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in leading or supporting professional development for colleagues.
  • Experience in working within a school that has undergone significant improvement.
