Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, knowledge-rich Maths lessons tailored to the needs of students at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Create engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and achievement.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the Maths curriculum, including extracurricular opportunities.
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, resilience, and academic success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust to share best practices and support professional development.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of students.
  • Engage with students through a wide range of extracurricular activities and learning experiences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 3/4 Maths curriculum
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at Key Stage 4 or sixth form
  • Experience with curriculum development and extracurricular programme planning
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar
