The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Maths Teacher to join a dynamic and successful department. This role offers the opportunity to work with talented students and contribute to a department that consistently achieves outstanding results, including high A*-A grades in A-level Maths and Further Maths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students across all key stages.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results, with a focus on preparing them for university applications and advanced study.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the maths curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students, helping them to reach their full potential.
  • Participate in the wider school community, including co-curricular activities and extracurricular events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
  • Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching practices.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of enrichment opportunities, such as Core Maths and Further Maths qualifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in teaching mathematics.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding results at A-level and GCSE.
  • Experience working with students of a wide range of abilities and backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Further Maths or Core Maths.
  • Familiarity with Edexcel and AQA qualifications.
  • Experience in a school with a strong co-curricular programme.
  • Ability to contribute to the pastoral and community aspects of the school.
