Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, challenging, and inspiring Maths lessons that promote student achievement and progress.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to a wide range of abilities and learning needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and address underachievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school numeracy initiatives and contribute to departmental planning.
- Participate in Continuing Professional Development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and leadership skills.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and well-being.
- Take on leadership responsibilities and contribute to the development of the Maths department.
- Support the school’s vision by fostering a culture of high expectations, respect, and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Maths education.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote student progress and achievement.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and learning strategies.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating student progress through assessment and data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to Continuing Professional Development and personal growth as an educator.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives or whole-school numeracy programs.
- Background in teaching students across a broad range of abilities.
- Experience with leadership roles or aspirations to take on middle leadership responsibilities.
- Familiarity with the Bohunt Education Trust or similar multi-academy trusts.
