Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, challenging, and inspiring Maths lessons that promote student achievement and progress.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to a wide range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and address underachievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school numeracy initiatives and contribute to departmental planning.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and leadership skills.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and well-being.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities and contribute to the development of the Maths department.
  • Support the school’s vision by fostering a culture of high expectations, respect, and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Maths education.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and learning strategies.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating student progress through assessment and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development and personal growth as an educator.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives or whole-school numeracy programs.
  • Background in teaching students across a broad range of abilities.
  • Experience with leadership roles or aspirations to take on middle leadership responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with the Bohunt Education Trust or similar multi-academy trusts.
