Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging mathematics lessons to students aged 11-16.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a rigorous and innovative curriculum.
- Support students in achieving outstanding GCSE results, with a focus on grades 9-7.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths department and across the school to enhance teaching and learning.
- Participate in a comprehensive CPD programme to continually improve your practice.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and maths-related events to promote enthusiasm for the subject.
- Work closely with parents and carers to support student success and well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
- Experience in teaching mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to a successful maths department.
- Experience with teaching to high-achieving students.
- Familiarity with assessment and marking systems.
- Experience in developing and delivering CPD sessions.
