Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging mathematics lessons to students aged 11-16.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a rigorous and innovative curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding GCSE results, with a focus on grades 9-7.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths department and across the school to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Participate in a comprehensive CPD programme to continually improve your practice.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and maths-related events to promote enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to support student success and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience in teaching mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to a successful maths department.
  • Experience with teaching to high-achieving students.
  • Familiarity with assessment and marking systems.
  • Experience in developing and delivering CPD sessions.
