The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Maths Teacher to join a successful and growing department. The role offers the chance to make a real impact on students' lives, helping them achieve academic excellence and develop a lifelong passion for Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across all key stages, including A-level and Further Mathematics.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that engage and inspire students.
  • Work collaboratively with the Mathematics department to share best practice and continuously improve the curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised feedback and pastoral care.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to help students improve.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and staff development activities.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme by encouraging student participation in Mathematics-related activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including A-level and Further Mathematics.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong academic focus and a supportive teaching environment.
  • Experience with evidence-based teaching methods and continuous professional development.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of the Mathematics curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Experience in a school with a co-curricular programme that promotes student engagement and leadership.
