Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons that promote deep understanding and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Develop and implement a knowledge-rich curriculum that aligns with the school’s high academic standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support to help students improve.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Maths department.
  • Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and leadership skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student performance and progress.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and positive behaviour.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a good honours degree in Mathematics.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental development.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and digital tools in education.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
