Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging mathematics lessons that challenge and motivate students.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform instruction and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Good honours degree in a relevant subject area.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently on a teacher training programme leading to QTS.
  • Demonstrated experience as an accomplished practitioner or an ECT on the way to this.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Confident use of ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching methods.
  • Evidence of good relationships with young people and adults.
  • Experience with data analysis and using it to improve teaching outcomes.
  • Commitment to the ethos, vision, and values of the school.
