Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-informed mathematics lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes problem-solving, logical reasoning, and a love of mathematics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine the curriculum, ensuring alignment with the school’s vision and strategic goals.
  • Support the professional development of students and colleagues through reflective practice and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to ensure measurable improvement and high attainment.
  • Contribute to the broader school community by engaging in initiatives that support student well-being and achievement.
  • Uphold the school’s values and ethos, maintaining a disciplined and positive learning environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities provided by the school and the Trust.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong understanding of curriculum requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on student progress and achievement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum design or leadership within a department.
  • Familiarity with Teaching English as a Second Language or inclusive education practices.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative setting.
  • A track record of successful CPD and leadership in professional development initiatives.
