The role involves teaching across KS3, KS4 (Higher Tier GCSE), and A Level Mathematics, following the Edexcel specification. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across KS3, KS4, and A Level Mathematics.
  • Support the continuous improvement of student outcomes, particularly for very able students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the department’s curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Act as a form tutor and participate in the wider pastoral care of students.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and events that promote the school’s ethos and culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching KS3, KS4, and A Level Mathematics.
  • Strong understanding of the Edexcel specification and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for Mathematics education.
  • Willingness to take on pastoral responsibilities, including form tutoring.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Experience with teaching students with high academic potential.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or enrichment programs.
  • Experience with the use of digital tools and resources in teaching and learning.
