Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across KS3, KS4, and A Level Mathematics.
- Support the continuous improvement of student outcomes, particularly for very able students.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the department’s curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Act as a form tutor and participate in the wider pastoral care of students.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and events that promote the school’s ethos and culture.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Mathematics.
- Experience teaching KS3, KS4, and A Level Mathematics.
- Strong understanding of the Edexcel specification and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for Mathematics education.
- Willingness to take on pastoral responsibilities, including form tutoring.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Experience with teaching students with high academic potential.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities or enrichment programs.
- Experience with the use of digital tools and resources in teaching and learning.
