Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality Maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Support the continuous improvement of the Maths curriculum and teaching approaches.
- Collaborate with the Maths department to share best practices and resources.
- Engage students in co-curricular activities that enhance their learning and personal development.
- Provide tailored support to students to ensure they achieve their full potential.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s CPD programmes.
- Work closely with the Director of Maths and Lead Practitioner to drive departmental success.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent improvement in outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Maths education.
- Strong knowledge of Maths curriculum and pedagogy.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive practices.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching.
- Involvement in co-curricular or extra-curricular provision.
- Experience with the NW Turing Maths Hub or similar initiatives.
- Leadership experience within a school department.
- Familiarity with data capture and student progress monitoring.
