Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons to students aged 11-16
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly to ensure continuous improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental goals
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Maths
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment
- Support the school’s values and vision by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Stay up to date with developments in Maths education and pedagogy
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent
- Relevant degree in Maths or a related subject
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to student success and professional development
Preferred
- Experience working in a school with a strong academic reputation
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies
- Experience with KS3 and KS4 curriculum delivery
- Passion for Maths and a commitment to inspiring student interest in the subject
