The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of maths education.
  • Support the school’s mission to foster a culture of respect, hard work, and personal growth.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and best practices in maths education.
  • Engage with students and parents to ensure a strong partnership in student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the maths curriculum and effective teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and behaviour management.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching maths at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Experience with inclusion and differentiated instruction.
  • Familiarity with using technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
