Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement an ambitious curriculum that supports student progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and improve teaching and learning across the department.
  • Support students' personal and academic development through pastoral care and guidance.
  • Participate in the ongoing review and refinement of the school's curriculum.
  • Engage in continued professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience of teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching A Level Mathematics.
  • Experience of working in a school with a strong CPD programme.
  • Experience of curriculum development or leadership in a subject department.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
