Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that inspire student curiosity and mastery.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school's vision for deep learning and academic excellence.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs through targeted interventions and differentiated instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in the school’s professional development programme to enhance teaching practice and leadership skills.
  • Contribute to the school’s pastoral care system by supporting student wellbeing and engagement.
  • Work closely with the Learning Support team to ensure all students have access to tailored support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at the relevant level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a school with a strong pastoral and inclusive ethos.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives or curriculum development.
