Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that inspire student curiosity and mastery.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school's vision for deep learning and academic excellence.
- Support students with diverse learning needs through targeted interventions and differentiated instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Participate in the school’s professional development programme to enhance teaching practice and leadership skills.
- Contribute to the school’s pastoral care system by supporting student wellbeing and engagement.
- Work closely with the Learning Support team to ensure all students have access to tailored support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Proven experience in teaching Maths at the relevant level.
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Ability to develop and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience of working in a school with a strong pastoral and inclusive ethos.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and supporting students with special educational needs.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives or curriculum development.
