Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students across key stages
  • Support the development and implementation of a co-constructed KS3 curriculum
  • Contribute to the planning and organisation of school trips and visits
  • Assist in the monitoring and assessment of student progress
  • Participate in internal and external CPD opportunities to enhance teaching practice
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the trust to improve teaching and learning
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student achievement
  • Contribute to the development of advanced mathematics qualifications and support students in Further Maths and Algebra

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Honours Degree
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience teaching Mathematics up to GCSE standard
  • Full working knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements for Mathematics
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to student achievement and high academic standards
  • Responsibility for personal professional development

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in Further Maths or Algebra teaching
  • Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar environment
