Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that achieve excellent student outcomes.
- Set and mark work in line with school and departmental assessment policies.
- Develop strong rapport with students to support the learning process.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department to ensure effective teaching and learning.
- Teach across multiple subjects where required.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings, team meetings, and other relevant events.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and students through consultation and open evenings.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree and teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage learning effectively with a student-centred approach.
- Understanding of current developments in mathematics education.
- High level of organisational and administrative skills.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding.
Preferred
- Experience with A Level, GCSE, and Core Maths courses.
- Familiarity with Curriculum Plus sessions and student support strategies.
- Experience in a Catholic educational setting.
- Ability to contribute to the pastoral care of students.
