Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons across key stages, ensuring student engagement and progression.
  • Support students in achieving academic success through differentiated instruction and tailored interventions.
  • Develop and implement a range of extra-curricular activities, including clubs and competitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s strong academic record in mathematics.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and review of the mathematics curriculum.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the school’s values.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4, with an understanding of A Level Mathematics.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Further Mathematics or leading extra-curricular maths activities.
  • Background in developing early career teachers (ECTs).
  • Familiarity with the school’s values and ethos.
