Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons across key stages, ensuring student engagement and progression.
- Support students in achieving academic success through differentiated instruction and tailored interventions.
- Develop and implement a range of extra-curricular activities, including clubs and competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s strong academic record in mathematics.
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and review of the mathematics curriculum.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the school’s values.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4, with an understanding of A Level Mathematics.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching Further Mathematics or leading extra-curricular maths activities.
- Background in developing early career teachers (ECTs).
- Familiarity with the school’s values and ethos.
