Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement in outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and develop the Maths curriculum.
  • Support students in transitioning effectively through key stages of their education.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Maths department and its teaching strategies.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Maths curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate and in line with school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Maths experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Commitment to raising student achievement and outcomes.
  • Experience in delivering effective lessons and assessments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in Key Stage 3 and 4 teaching.
  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a Maths department.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in teaching and learning.
  • Experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
