As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mathematics education to students aged 11-18. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons across all key stages, including A Level
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies based on research and best practice
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and improve departmental performance
- Support the school’s commitment to student wellbeing and inclusion
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular Mathematics activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student achievement and attendance
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
- Ability to teach Mathematics to A Level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL)
- Experience in a specialist maths and computing school
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles
