The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will be part of a dedicated and experienced department focused on delivering high-quality education. You will play a key role in supporting students' mathematical development and helping them reach their full potential through engaging and challenging lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons in line with the Edexcel and AQA specifications.
  • Plan and sequence lessons using effective teaching strategies, including spaced retrieval and interleaving.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, setting appropriate targets and providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental policies.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and AQA Level 2 Further Maths examinations.
  • Take an active role in the school’s improvement and self-evaluation processes.
  • Support the school’s ethos and contribute to the pastoral and personal development of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a culture of teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and listening abilities.
  • Ability to lead and motivate students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to the school's ethos and values.
  • Experience in delivering maths at GCSE and A-level.

Preferred

  • Experience with Edexcel and AQA specifications.
  • Familiarity with spaced retrieval and interleaving teaching methods.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student leadership.
  • Leadership experience within a school or department.
  • Experience with curriculum development and policy implementation.
