The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will be part of a dedicated and experienced department focused on delivering high-quality education. You will play a key role in supporting students' mathematical development and helping them reach their full potential through engaging and challenging lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality maths lessons in line with the Edexcel and AQA specifications.
- Plan and sequence lessons using effective teaching strategies, including spaced retrieval and interleaving.
- Monitor and assess student progress, setting appropriate targets and providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental policies.
- Prepare students for GCSE and AQA Level 2 Further Maths examinations.
- Take an active role in the school’s improvement and self-evaluation processes.
- Support the school’s ethos and contribute to the pastoral and personal development of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a culture of teamwork and professional growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and listening abilities.
- Ability to lead and motivate students and colleagues.
- Commitment to the school's ethos and values.
- Experience in delivering maths at GCSE and A-level.
Preferred
- Experience with Edexcel and AQA specifications.
- Familiarity with spaced retrieval and interleaving teaching methods.
- Experience in pastoral care or student leadership.
- Leadership experience within a school or department.
- Experience with curriculum development and policy implementation.
