The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Maths to GCSE level, ensuring a broad and engaging curriculum is delivered to all students.
  • Contribute to the planning, delivery, and assessment of lessons in line with the school’s teaching philosophy.
  • Support the enrichment programme by developing and delivering extra-curricular activities related to Maths.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student performance regularly.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
  • Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at GCSE level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection, with willingness to undergo DBS checks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a co-educational environment.
  • Familiarity with independent school standards and practices.
  • Experience with curriculum development and enrichment activities.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
