Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student progress and achievement.
  • Prepare and assess students’ work in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning.
  • Support student well-being and provide individualised guidance where needed.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities, including maths clubs and competitions.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student performance and progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching mathematics at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching GCSE or A-level mathematics.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience working in a high-performing school environment.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
