The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and capable Maths Teacher to join our team and inspire the next generation of mathematicians. This role involves teaching Further Mathematics to high-achieving sixth form students and contributing to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Further Mathematics to sixth form students at a high standard.
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that encourage deep mathematical thinking.
- Support students in achieving outstanding results at A level and beyond.
- Contribute to the development of the maths curriculum and departmental initiatives.
- Participate in co-curricular activities and pastoral duties as part of the school community.
- Provide individualised support and mentorship to students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and pedagogy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
- The ability to teach Further Mathematics to sixth form students.
- Experience in teaching or a willingness to complete a PGCE.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school environment, particularly in a boarding or independent school.
- A track record of academic achievement or leadership in mathematics education.
- Experience with co-curricular and pastoral activities within a school setting.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
