The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and capable Maths Teacher to join our team and inspire the next generation of mathematicians. This role involves teaching Further Mathematics to high-achieving sixth form students and contributing to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Further Mathematics to sixth form students at a high standard.
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that encourage deep mathematical thinking.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding results at A level and beyond.
  • Contribute to the development of the maths curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and pastoral duties as part of the school community.
  • Provide individualised support and mentorship to students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • The ability to teach Further Mathematics to sixth form students.
  • Experience in teaching or a willingness to complete a PGCE.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school environment, particularly in a boarding or independent school.
  • A track record of academic achievement or leadership in mathematics education.
  • Experience with co-curricular and pastoral activities within a school setting.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
