The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the mathematical abilities and confidence of students from Years 7 to 13. You will work within a successful and highly motivated department, contributing to a curriculum that includes White Rose and AQA GCSE, as well as Edexcel A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that values professional development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across key stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Use the White Rose scheme of learning and support students in achieving excellent GCSE and A Level results.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to departmental planning and the development of innovative teaching and learning strategies.
- Support students through pastoral care and extra-curricular activities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in a robust ECT induction programme.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s academic and pastoral provision.
- Participate in a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities, including educational visits and school productions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS and relevant subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Commitment to student well-being and pastoral care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with the White Rose scheme of learning.
- Experience in teaching AQA GCSE and Edexcel A Level Mathematics.
- Experience in pastoral care and extra-curricular leadership.
- Familiarity with the Worshipful Company of Coopers and its associated opportunities.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
