The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring and innovative Maths Teacher to join a growing department, delivering Mathematics from Year 7 to Year 13. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student learning and contribute to a dynamic, forward-thinking school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons to students from Year 7 to Year 13.
- Develop and implement engaging, innovative teaching strategies that promote student achievement and enjoyment of Mathematics.
- Contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school, including maths clubs or competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive department culture.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Support the school’s mission to provide a broad and challenging curriculum.
- Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and incorporate best practices into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with Mathematics as the main subject.
- Experience teaching Mathematics to students across a range of abilities.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities.
Preferred
- Experience with exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, or OCR.
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on music, drama, or sport.
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Leadership experience or a desire to take on a mentoring role within the department.
